Cate is a senior lecturer in chemistry at the Central Teaching Laboratories (CTL), University of Liverpool where she is currently focussed on developing the laboratory and analytical chemistry curriculum. She received a CATE award in 2016 for her collaborative work within the CTL to improve employability of students and continues to develop collaborative initiatives with departments across the university, with industry and with other institutions. In addition, Cate is also Faculty lead for outreach and widening participation. She is passionate about raising the attainment and aspirations of young people in STEM and empowering her students to succeed.
